Wrexham's Phil Parkinson Criticizes Referee Decision on Cabango's Challenge

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson expressed his discontent regarding a challenge made by Swansea City captain Ben Cabango during a recent Welsh derby that ended in a draw. Parkinson stated that Cabango's tackle on midfielder Callum O'Hare, who was making his debut, warranted a straight red card due to its severity.

The incident occurred in the 77th minute when Cabango, who had just come on as a substitute, missed the ball and caught O'Hare. Following the foul, Cabango received a yellow card, which sparked frustration from the Wrexham bench. O'Hare was substituted shortly after the challenge as Swansea maintained their unbeaten start to the season.

Parkinson noted that the referee's decision was inconsistent, referencing a previous red card issued to another player for a less severe tackle. Despite the controversy, Wrexham had opportunities to secure a win but ultimately settled for a draw. The team is set to face Burnley next.
