Wu Yize to Compete Against Kyren Wilson in British Open Second Round

World champion Wu Yize has advanced to the second round of the British Open, where he will compete against former Crucible winner Kyren Wilson. Both players won their opening matches in Cheltenham.

Wu triumphed over compatriot Liu Hongyu with a score of 4-3, while Wilson defeated Austria's Florian Nuessle 4-1. Other notable players progressing include Shaun Murphy, Ding Junhui, Barry Hawkins, Judd Trump, and John Higgins.

However, three-time world champion Mark Williams was eliminated after losing 4-0 to David Gilbert, and world number two Neil Robertson fell 4-1 to Pang Junxu. New world number one Zhao Xintong will begin his campaign against England's Oliver Brown on Tuesday.
