WWE Adjusts Taping Schedule for Upcoming Weeks
WWE is modifying its taping schedule for the upcoming weeks, starting with the August 24 episode of WWE Raw in Ottawa, Ontario, which will air two hours earlier than usual. This adjustment is due to the taping of the August 28 episode of WWE SmackDown immediately following Raw.
On August 28, WWE stars will gather at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, where the August 31 episode of Raw and the September 4 episode of SmackDown will be recorded. Initially, fans anticipated that the Cleveland taping would feature a live SmackDown and a taped Raw, with the SmackDown following the August 24 Raw being the September 4 episode.
According to Dave Meltzer, the primary reason for this schedule change is to provide WWE performers with time off during the Labor Day weekend. The television schedule is expected to revert to normal on September 6 for WWE Sunday Night's Main Event and on September 7 for Raw in Birmingham, Alabama. Additionally, WWE NXT will air live on August 25, and WWE NXT Heatwave is scheduled for August 30, coinciding with AAA's Ola De Calor event in Edinburg, Texas. The WWE main roster will also host house shows in Savannah, Georgia, and North Charleston, South Carolina, on August 29 and 30.
