WWE and Montez Ford Sued by Security Guard Over Alleged Incident
WWE and wrestler Montez Ford, also known as Kenneth Crawford, are facing a lawsuit from a Cook County Sheriff named Noel Lucas. The incident occurred while Lucas was working as an off-duty security guard at Allstate Arena during the July 6 episode of Raw.
Lucas alleges that he received an unwanted lap dance from Crawford during the entrance of the Street Profits. The lawsuit, filed in the Circuit Court of Cook County, includes 14 counts such as assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and also names Event Services, LLC, a WWE subsidiary.
Lucas claims that the widely circulated clip of the incident has led to mockery and ridicule directed at him and his children, causing humiliation and emotional distress. He asserts that his image has been used commercially without consent, violating the Illinois Right of Publicity Act. A case management hearing is set for December 10, where Lucas is seeking punitive damages, legal costs, and an order preventing WWE and Crawford from using his identity.
