WWE and TKO Resolve Settlement Dispute with Vince McMahon
WWE and TKO have reportedly resolved a settlement dispute with former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, which had delayed the conclusion of a shareholder lawsuit settlement. This resolution comes nearly two months after the lawsuit was settled, with the settlement figures disclosed about a month ago.
Brandon Thurston from Wrestlenomics shared court documents indicating that the settlement is set to proceed following the resolution of issues related to a $147.5 million settlement. WWE's legal representatives described the disagreement as a narrow issue concerning indemnification obligations with insurance carriers.
The new court filing confirms that McMahon and the plaintiffs have agreed to the settlement terms, and WWE is now awaiting final approval from insurers to proceed with the payments. Although plaintiffs have raised concerns about the insurer signoff not being included in the initial agreement, it is not expected to impede the settlement process.
