WWE Covers Hip Surgery Costs for Psicosis at Rey Mysterio's Request
WWE has taken responsibility for the costs associated with hip replacement surgery for former AAA star Psicosis, reportedly amounting to $44,000. This decision was made by WWE President Nick Khan, influenced by Psicosis' status under a WWE Legend's Contract and the request from Rey Mysterio, a significant rival in Psicosis' career.
The rivalry between Psicosis and Mysterio was prominent in various promotions, including AAA, ECW, and WCW, where they notably faced off in the opening match at Bash at the Beach 1996. Psicosis has had a distinguished career, winning multiple championships, including the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship and the AAA World Tag Team Championships.
Psicosis competed in WWE from 2005 to 2006 as part of the Mexicools stable and continued wrestling in Mexico until two years ago when he underwent emergency hip surgery due to an injury. He was inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame in the same year.
