WWE Crown Jewel Scheduled to Proceed in Riyadh Amid Travel Warnings
WWE is set to hold its Crown Jewel event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 7, despite increasing travel warnings from the U.S. government. TKO's Ari Emmanuel has stated that the situation is being monitored daily, but as of now, no cancellations have been made.
Dave Meltzer discussed the event on Wrestling Observer Radio, indicating that unless a significant incident occurs before the event, WWE will proceed as planned. Meltzer also mentioned the upcoming Canelo Álvarez boxing match, noting that participants have arrived in Bahrain and traveled to Riyadh, reporting good security conditions.
Meltzer speculated that Nick Khan might travel to Riyadh with WWE, while he doubts that Ari Emanuel or TKO's Board of Directors will attend. He recalled past incidents where WWE talent faced dangerous situations but managed to return to Saudi Arabia shortly after.
