WWE Money in the Bank 2026 Opening Match Revealed

The WWE Money in the Bank 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, and will kick off with a match between Roman Reigns and LA Knight for the World Heavyweight Championship.

This announcement was made by Michael Cole during WWE SmackDown, which contradicts earlier reports suggesting that the match would serve as the main event. The match was confirmed after Knight confronted Reigns following a recent episode of Raw in Mexico, where Reigns offered Knight a title shot.

In addition to the championship match, the event will also feature Stephanie Vaquer defending the Women's World Championship against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan, as well as a one-on-one match between Bronson Reed and Oba Femi. The women's MITB ladder match will include competitors such as Roxanne Perez and Tiffany Stratton, while the men's ladder match will feature Trick Williams, Bron Breakker, and CM Punk among others.
