
WWE SmackDown and NXT Ratings Show Significant Increases
The recent episodes of WWE NXT and SmackDown have seen substantial increases in viewership, attributed to a new Nielsen ratings methodology that started on August 31.
The September 1 episode of NXT attracted an average of 768,000 viewers on The CW, marking a 21.5% rise from the previous week and the highest audience since February 11, 2025. It also achieved a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic, an increase of 88.9% from the prior week, tying its highest rating in that category since the same February date.
Meanwhile, the September 4 episode of SmackDown garnered 1.3 million viewers on USA, up 15.7% from the week before, with a 0.29 rating in the 18-49 demo, reflecting a 26.1% increase. However, compared to the same week in 2025, SmackDown's overall viewership was down 18%, and the 18-49 rating decreased by 43.1%.
