WWE SmackDown Review: Highlights and Lowlights from October 23, 2026
The latest episode of WWE SmackDown aired on October 23, 2026, showcasing significant events including a change in the women's tag team championship. The show featured WWE Champion Sami Zayn alongside Johnny Gargano and Candice Lerae, who expressed their frustrations ahead of Zayn's upcoming title match at Crown Jewel.
Among the highlights, a street fight between Blake Monroe and Giulia stood out, providing an entertaining spectacle with creative spots. However, the episode also included a disappointing fake Money in the Bank cash-in attempt by Tiffany Stratton, which felt unnecessary given the ongoing storylines. Additionally, a feud involving Kyoki and Shinsuke Nakamura was criticized for focusing on inanimate objects rather than wrestling.
In a more positive note, the ongoing rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton intensified, with a verbal confrontation that raised the stakes for their upcoming match. The episode concluded with a pre-recorded segment announcing a future match between CM Punk and Kevin Owens, maintaining interest in their feud despite their absence from the live show.
