WWE SmackDown Sees Viewership Boost Ahead of SummerSlam
WWE SmackDown experienced a surge in viewership as it approached SummerSlam, achieving one of its highest ratings of the year during the go-home show.
The episode averaged 1,379,000 viewers, marking a 10% increase from the previous week, with a notable 35% rise in the key 18-49 demographic. This viewership level is the highest since the April 17 episode, which was the lead-up to WrestleMania 42.
Despite this recent uptick, total viewership has declined by 15% compared to July 2025, and the 18-49 demographic has dropped by 38% over the same period. Additionally, ticket sales for the show were low, with only 4,705 tickets sold for the episode at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the lowest attendance for a main roster show in that market since 2022. Looking ahead, the impact of the recent returns of Kevin Owens and Randy Orton may help maintain viewer interest.
