
WWE SmackDown Sees Viewership Increase Following SummerSlam
The August 7 edition of WWE SmackDown experienced a rise in viewership, reaching approximately 1.47 million viewers, up from 1.38 million the previous week. This increase was noted by Wrestlenomics and marks a significant improvement from the four-week average of 1.27 million viewers.
In addition to overall viewership, the show also saw an increase in its key demographic rating for viewers aged 18-49, climbing from 0.31 to 0.35. Despite this growth, the Q3 ratings and viewership remain lower than the same period in 2025, down by 9% and 35%, respectively.
The episode featured new storylines post-SummerSlam, including a feud between Kevin Owens and CM Punk, and a continuing rivalry between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. The main event showcased Charlotte Flair defeating Jade Cargill, while Baron Corbin successfully defended his United States Championship against Trick Williams.
