WWE SmackDown Viewership Declines Despite Key Matches on October 23
WWE SmackDown's viewership has continued to decline, as evidenced by the October 23 episode. This edition featured the crowning of new Women's Tag Team Champions and an unexpected six-man main event.
The show attracted an average of 1,100,000 viewers, marking a 17 percent decrease from the previous week's 1,327,000 viewers. The rating in the key 18-49 demographic also fell to 0.24, down 25 percent from the prior week's 0.32.
Despite the recent drop, viewership is up 18 percent compared to the same period last year, when the average was 1,063,000 viewers. The main event was altered during the show, leading to a six-man tag match where Penta, Fenix, and Trick Williams emerged victorious. Additionally, Michin and B-Fab claimed the Women's Tag Team Championships with assistance from Jade Cargill, and a Last Man Standing match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton is set for Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
