WWE Tests NXT Star Kendal Grey's Acting Skills with Vignettes

WWE is believed to be assessing the acting skills of NXT Superstar Kendal Grey through a series of vignettes while she is currently sidelined due to injury.

Kendal Grey, who signed with WWE in 2023 under the NIL program, has been unable to compete because of severe vertigo and ear trauma, with no set timeline for her return to the ring. Despite her absence from in-ring action, she has been featured in therapy vignettes on WWE NXT, where she undergoes sports psychology therapy to cope with the mental challenges stemming from her condition.

Wrestling analysts Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed Grey's current portrayal on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, expressing criticism of the vignettes. Meltzer noted that while WWE views Grey as a talented athlete, they are attempting to develop her acting skills through these segments, which he feels are not effective. Alvarez echoed this sentiment, suggesting that the vignettes may undermine Grey's image as a wrestler.
