WWE WrestleMania 43 Main Event Plans Revealed

Recent updates on WWE WrestleMania 43 indicate that Roman Reigns is expected to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Oba Femi during the event's second night. This plan aligns with earlier reports from Fightful Select.

However, the anticipated main event featuring Cody Rhodes against CM Punk for the first night is not currently in the works, although both wrestlers are expected to have significant roles. Meltzer noted that while this matchup would be logical given their star status on WWE SmackDown, they have been kept apart since their interaction post-SummerSlam 2026.

With WrestleMania 43 scheduled for April, the plans remain fluid and could change due to factors such as injuries. Additionally, the exact date of the event has not been confirmed, although the weekend of April 10 and 11 is tentatively set. WWE is cautious about announcing the date, considering the complexities of hosting the event in Saudi Arabia and to avoid competition from other promotions like AEW.
