WWE's Current Stance on CMLL Talent Acquisition

WWE is currently not seeking to recruit new wrestlers from CMLL for AAA television, according to an update from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The only exception noted is Persephone, who is anticipated to receive an offer once she is legally able to do so.

Meltzer indicated that WWE's focus is on utilizing its own talent alongside major AAA stars, rather than bringing in new names from CMLL. Although there have been no significant moves to acquire talent from CMLL beyond the signing of La Catalina, the situation could change if WWE secures an American television deal and increases its budget for more Mexican stars.

Persephone is currently under a dual contract with CMLL and AEW. Reports clarify that she did not choose AEW over WWE, as she was not in a position to engage with WWE due to her existing contract with CMLL.
