WWE's Patrick Dooley Terminated Amid Surprising Circumstances
Patrick Dooley, who served as WWE's Senior Vice President of Global Strategy and Creative Operations, was released from his role in late July, according to recent reports.
Dooley joined WWE in 2018 as the director of strategy and was recognized for his contributions, including the revival of WWE NXT at Full Sail University and the acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA in April 2025. He played a key role in securing AAA's television deal with Fox Latin America.
His influence within the organization earned him a reputation as a close associate of WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque, particularly in non-creative areas. The unexpected nature of his termination reportedly surprised several colleagues, including Levesque.
