Xavi Simons Enrolls at Harvard During Injury Recovery
Xavi Simons, a midfielder for Tottenham, has enrolled in a course at Harvard University while he recovers from a long-term knee injury. The 23-year-old Dutch player has been out of action since suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in April, which also caused him to miss the World Cup.
Simons is participating in Harvard's Crossover into Business programme, designed for professional athletes to enhance their business acumen. This online course connects athletes with Harvard MBA students for mentorship through practical case studies and enterprise management.
Recently, Simons visited Harvard's campus in Boston to advance his physical rehabilitation. He expressed his commitment to learning during his recovery, emphasizing his desire to understand the business aspects of football and to continue personal development. Previous participants in this programme include athletes from various sports, highlighting its appeal among professional sports figures.
