Xavier Atkins Leaves Auburn Football Program, Plans to Transfer

Xavier Atkins, a linebacker for Auburn, has officially left the football program. He announced his decision on social media late Monday, stating his intention to enter the transfer portal when it becomes available.

The Auburn Tigers have removed Atkins from their online roster following his announcement. He expressed his respect for Auburn University and his commitment to supporting his teammates while focusing on his health and academics.

Atkins did not participate in last week's game against Georgia for undisclosed reasons. Coach Alex Golesh mentioned that they are still addressing the situation. During his time at Auburn, Atkins achieved second-team All-America honors after a successful sophomore season, recording 37 tackles, three sacks, and an interception in five games this season.
