Xavier Walsh Joins Tasmania Devils for 2027 VFL Season

Xavier Walsh, a forward recently delisted by Port Adelaide, will join the Tasmania Devils for the 2027 VFL season. His decision was influenced by the opportunity to reconnect with former coach Ken Hinkley and the chance to play alongside his younger brother, Axel.

During his three seasons at Port Adelaide, Walsh scored 28 goals in 36 SANFL games but did not make an AFL debut due to injuries and limited chances. After addressing shoulder issues, he is eager to contribute to the Devils and pursue a return to the AFL.

Walsh noted that his family has established connections in Tasmania, which played a role in his move. He expressed excitement about the possibility of playing with Axel, who was pre-listed by the Devils, marking a new chapter for both brothers in their football careers.
