Yair Rodriguez Withdraws from Noche UFC Main Event, Jose Delgado to Replace

The Noche UFC main event is set for a change as Yair Rodriguez has withdrawn from his fight against Jean Silva due to an injury. This announcement comes less than a month before the event, which celebrates Mexican Independence.

Rodriguez, who has not fought since April 2025 and has only competed twice since 2023, stated on social media that it was not responsible for him to fight in his current condition. He is a former interim middleweight champion and recently won a unanimous decision against Patricio Pitbull.

Jose Delgado will take Rodriguez's place, marking his third fight of 2026 after securing victories over Andre Fili and Austin Bashi. Delgado holds a record of 4-1-0 in the UFC and will face Silva, who ranks sixth in the division and has a record of 6-1-0. The Noche UFC event will take place at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, and is part of an annual initiative that began in 2023.
