Yankee Stadium Partners with Sequel for First MLB Tampon Deal
The New York Yankees have made history by partnering with Sequel, a tampon company, to become the first Major League Baseball team to offer free tampons at Yankee Stadium. This initiative reflects a broader trend in sports marketing aimed at recognizing and catering to female fans.
Sequel co-founders Amanda Calabrese and Greta Meyer, who both have backgrounds in athletics, sought to address the challenges women face with traditional period products. Their partnership with the Yankees allows them to reach a significant audience, as approximately 1.5 million women attend games each year.
Since the partnership began, feedback from fans has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing gratitude for the availability of complimentary tampons. The collaboration not only enhances the stadium experience but also signifies a shift in how sports teams engage with female audiences.
