Yankees Complete Sweep of Orioles with 6-1 Victory
The New York Yankees achieved a three-game sweep of the Baltimore Orioles with a 6-1 victory on Thursday night. Gerrit Cole delivered a strong performance, pitching six innings and allowing only one run on four hits while striking out eight batters.
In addition to Cole's efforts, Luis Garcia Jr. and Spencer Jones each contributed with home runs, helping the Yankees secure their fourth consecutive win, all on the road. The Yankees amassed 11 hits in total, marking their first sweep since the All-Star break.
Despite Dylan Beavers hitting a home run for the Orioles, the team extended its losing streak to four games. Kyle Bradish, the Orioles' starting pitcher, went 5 2/3 innings, allowing five runs, three of which were earned. The game was initially delayed due to weather concerns.
