Yankees Eliminated from Postseason by Rays

The New York Yankees were eliminated from the postseason after losing to the Tampa Bay Rays, finishing the series with a 4-3 defeat on Wednesday.

Entering the game with an 0-2 record in the series, the Yankees needed a win to keep their postseason hopes alive. However, the Rays secured the victory, ending the Yankees' chances.

Following the loss, Dave Portnoy mocked the Yankees on social media, referencing their previous celebrations after defeating the Boston Red Sox. Ben Rice, a player for the Yankees, expressed disappointment, stating that the team failed to perform adequately. The Rays are now preparing to face either the Chicago White Sox or the Cleveland Guardians in the next round of the postseason.
