Yankees Place Trent Grisham on Injured List Due to Hamstring Strain
The New York Yankees announced on Saturday that outfielder Trent Grisham has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a right hamstring strain. This decision follows Grisham's exit from Friday's game against the San Diego Padres in the third inning due to hamstring discomfort.
This season, Grisham has played 121 games, achieving a batting average of .211, with 18 home runs and 59 RBIs. Over his eight-year career, he has participated in 887 games, recording a .217 batting average, 122 home runs, and 379 RBIs across stints with the Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, and Yankees.
In a corresponding move, the Yankees have recalled outfielder Jasson Dominguez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Dominguez, 23, previously played 53 games with the Yankees this season, batting .230 with six home runs and 14 RBIs. Throughout his four seasons with New York, he has a career batting average of .243, with 22 home runs and 72 RBIs in 202 games.
