During the first Test match against Sri Lanka in Galle, Yashasvi Jaiswal was run out under unusual circumstances, leaving KL Rahul and the Indian team in disbelief. Rahul had already begun running for a single but halted when he saw Jaiswal fall. Jaiswal then got up and moved forward, indicating he wanted to run, but suddenly changed his mind and tried to return to the non-striker's end. This led to confusion, as Rahul interpreted Jaiswal's movement as a signal to continue running, resulting in both players being at the same end. Jaiswal was ultimately run out for 32 runs after a check by the umpires confirmed the dismissal.
