Yealimi Noh Takes Lead at AIG Women's Open

Yealimi Noh, a 25-year-old professional golfer, has surged into the lead at the AIG Women's Open in Lytham St. Annes, England, following a challenging 2026 LPGA season. After starting the tournament with rounds of 67 and 70, Noh entered the third round needing a strong performance to improve her standing.

In the third round, Noh shot a 2-under-par 69, bringing her total to 7-under 206. Despite a rough start that included a bogey on the par-5 seventh hole, she rebounded with three consecutive birdies, including one at the par-3 ninth. Her performance allowed her to overtake South Korea's Haeryn Ryu, who struggled with a 3-over 74 and fell into a tie for second place at 4-under.

Noh's round included 26 putts, and she expressed relief at her turnaround after a series of missed cuts. Ryu, aiming for her third consecutive major title, remains optimistic despite her performance. Other competitors, including Esther Henseleit and Jeeno Thitikul, are also in contention as the tournament progresses.
