Yota Tsuji and Ryohei Oiwa Advance to NJPW G1 Climax Semi Finals

The G1 Climax 36 tournament has confirmed its first two semi finalists, Yota Tsuji and Ryohei Oiwa, following recent matches in the A Block. Tsuji, the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion, topped the A Block after defeating Jake Lee, finishing with 12 points from six wins and three losses.

Ryohei Oiwa also advanced by winning his final block match against AEW's Konosuke Takeshita, which allowed him to finish with 12 points as well. Takeshita, despite ending with the same score, was eliminated due to losing to both Tsuji and Oiwa during the tournament.

Four competitors remain in contention for the B Block, including Callum Newman, Ren Narita, Gabe Kidd, and Yuya Uemura, all with 10 points. Their final matches will determine who will join Tsuji and Oiwa in the semi finals.
