Yuki Tsunoda Faces Challenges with 2026 F1 Cars at Monza

Yuki Tsunoda, driving for Racing Bulls, is navigating the complexities of the 2026 Formula 1 cars during the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Following a strong performance in Zandvoort, he noted that Monza presents a greater challenge due to its energy management requirements.

After the first practice session, Tsunoda placed 10th, just behind Max Verstappen and teammate Arvid Lindblad. He acknowledged that the transition to the new regulations has been difficult, particularly with the introduction of Straight Mode zones, which he often forgot to utilize during practice.

Despite these challenges, Tsunoda showed improvement in the second practice session, successfully using SM in all designated areas. He expressed confidence in the Racing Bulls car's balance compared to last year's model and anticipated a chaotic qualifying session due to the importance of slipstreaming at Monza.
