Yuki Tsunoda Impresses Racing Bulls at Dutch Grand Prix
Yuki Tsunoda has been performing well for Racing Bulls during the Dutch Grand Prix, where he is filling in for Liam Lawson. Tsunoda has been closing the gap to his teammate Arvid Lindblad, showcasing his adaptability to the 2026-spec Formula 1 cars.
Initially, Tsunoda was 0.825 seconds behind Lindblad in the free practice session, but he reduced this deficit in subsequent qualifying sessions, finishing just 0.102 seconds behind in Q2. Despite finishing the sprint race 11.5 seconds behind, he expressed satisfaction with his progress and the experience gained.
Tsunoda acknowledged the challenges posed by the new car's energy management and handling characteristics, noting that adapting to these changes was not easy. He felt he was able to adjust more quickly than anticipated and was pleased with his performance, even though he narrowly missed qualifying for Q3.
