Yuki Tsunoda Reflects on Challenging Year at Red Bull F1

Yuki Tsunoda has reflected on his difficult year with Red Bull Racing, where he faced significant challenges while racing alongside Max Verstappen. The Japanese driver, who switched to Red Bull midseason, finished 17th in the drivers' standings, struggling to adapt to the RB21 and feeling the pressure of competing against Verstappen.

During a podcast interview, Tsunoda described 2025 as the toughest year of his career, noting that he found it increasingly hard to reset himself between races. He expressed feelings of exhaustion and a lack of enjoyment in his racing, which he attributed to being away from friends and family in Japan. Despite seeking psychological support, the demanding race schedule added to his struggles.

After losing his seat on the grid, Tsunoda returned to the Italian team following an injury to Isack Hadjar. He participated in the last three races of the season and believes that the hardships he faced have made him a better driver. Tsunoda feels more comfortable with the pressures of racing and is optimistic about his future in Formula 1.
