Yuki Tsunoda Retains 10th Place at Italian GP After Investigation

Yuki Tsunoda successfully retains his 10th place finish in the Italian Grand Prix after a post-race investigation regarding his grid position during a restart at Monza.

The inquiry was prompted by Tsunoda's positioning during a lap 6 restart, which followed a red flag due to Charles Leclerc's accident on lap 2. Tsunoda initially lined up incorrectly, appearing to park outside his designated grid box, leading race control to add an extra formation lap and review the situation.

After examining the circumstances, the stewards concluded that Tsunoda did not breach regulations as his car was ultimately positioned correctly within the grid box. They determined that there was no impact on other competitors and that the decision for the extra formation lap was made by the race director based on the car's approach. Consequently, no penalties were imposed on Tsunoda, allowing him to keep his first point of the season.
