Yves Missi Evaluated for Left Knee Injury After Game Against Utah
Yves Missi, a third-year player for the Pelicans, suffered a left knee injury during the second quarter of a game against Utah on Friday.
The injury occurred when Zion Williamson's shot was blocked, causing him to fall into Missi's leg. The 22-year-old showed visible signs of pain and was unable to put weight on his left leg, requiring assistance to leave the court.
Missi will undergo reevaluation in Denver the following day, as confirmed by head coach Jamahl Mosley. After a strong performance in the season opener, where he recorded 13 points and 14 rebounds, Missi's playing time had decreased in the previous season. If he is sidelined, Derik Queen may take his place in the starting lineup.
