Zabit Magomedsharipov Announces Comeback Fight After Seven Years
Zabit Magomedsharipov, a former contender in the UFC featherweight division, has confirmed his return to competitive fighting with a match scheduled for the end of August.
He will compete against Youssef Zalal in a grappling bout at ACBJJ 22 on August 30 in Istanbul, Turkey. This event marks Magomedsharipov's first appearance in competition since he retired from MMA after a victory over Calvin Kattar in 2019.
During his career from 2017 to 2019, Magomedsharipov gained recognition for his exciting fighting style and impressive finishes. His plans to return were previously interrupted by an injury that caused him to withdraw from a match against Raul Rosas Jr. last month. Zalal, his upcoming opponent, recently faced a setback, losing to Aljamain Sterling in April after an eight-fight winning streak.
