Zac Taylor Defends Bengals' Offensive Line Amid Criticism

Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. recently claimed that the team's pass protection unit is the best in the NFL, a statement that has drawn skepticism from critics who argue that the Bengals have not adequately protected quarterback Joe Burrow.

In response to these criticisms, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor asserted that the notion the team cannot protect Burrow is unfounded. Burrow, who was the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, has faced several injuries throughout his career, including a torn ACL and MCL during his rookie season and a wrist injury that cut his 2023 season short.

Despite the challenges, the Bengals' offensive line showed improvement last season, achieving a pass block win rate of 57.6%, although still below the league average. The team is returning all five starters from last season, which they hope will provide stability and support for Burrow in the upcoming season.
