Zac Walker Joins West Coast's WAFL Team for 2027 Season
Zac Walker, a swingman who was previously with the Western Bulldogs, is set to join West Coast's WAFL team for the 2027 season.
As part of his agreement, he will have the chance to train with the AFL squad during the pre-season. Walker, originally from Phillip Island, was selected from Gippsland Power in the 2025 Mid-Season Draft but did not have his contract renewed after 18 months, despite showing potential in the VFL.
Walker is making this move partly due to his girlfriend being from Western Australia, as he aims to demonstrate his capabilities to the club. He will turn 21 next year and is recognized for his athleticism and intercept marking, as well as his ability to play in a forward position. During his time with the Bulldogs, he has significantly increased his physical size.
