Zach Charbonnet Returns to Seahawks Roster Ahead of Chiefs Matchup
Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet has been activated from the physically unable to perform list, allowing him to potentially play against the Chiefs on Sunday night. This marks his return to the active roster nine months after suffering a torn ACL.
Charbonnet has been practicing since October 1, and the Seahawks faced a deadline to either activate him or rule him out for the season. While Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald has not confirmed Charbonnet's participation for the upcoming game, he expressed optimism about the running back's readiness.
Last season, Charbonnet contributed significantly with 184 carries for 730 yards and 12 touchdowns. His return is seen as crucial for the Seahawks' offense, which has faced challenges without both him and leading rusher Kenneth Walker. To accommodate Charbonnet's activation, tight end Elijah Arroyo has been placed on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury.
