Zach Ertz Cleared for Activities, Remains Free Agent
Tight end Zach Ertz has been cleared to participate in all football activities following his recovery from an ACL tear sustained last December. Despite this progress, he remains a free agent with the NFL regular season set to begin shortly.
Ertz previously played for the Philadelphia Eagles for over eight seasons, contributing to their Super Bowl victory before being traded to Arizona in 2021. The Eagles currently have Dallas Goedert, Johnny Mundt, E.J. Jenkins, and Eli Stowers on their roster, with Grant Calcaterra on injured reserve.
General Manager Howie Roseman expressed high regard for Ertz, acknowledging his impressive career while also emphasizing satisfaction with the current tight end lineup. Ertz had notable statistics in his last two seasons, recording 116 receptions for 1,158 yards and 11 touchdowns, indicating his continued effectiveness as a player.
