Zaine Cordy Becomes Senior Coach for University Blacks

Zaine Cordy, a former AFL player and premiership winner, has been appointed as the senior coach of the University Blacks in the VAFA league. This marks his transition from player to coach after joining the club as a player a year ago.

During his time with the Uni Blacks, Cordy has significantly contributed to the development of young talent. He previously played for the Western Bulldogs for eight seasons, where he was part of the team that ended their premiership drought in 2016, before spending three years with St Kilda.

University Blacks President Pat Barry expressed confidence in Cordy's fit for the team, highlighting his extensive experience and enthusiasm for coaching. The club finished fifth in the premier division last season, securing eight wins but did not qualify for the finals.
