Zay Flowers Signs Contract Extension, Hopes for Lamar Jackson's Long-Term Stay

Wide receiver Zay Flowers has finalized a four-year contract extension worth $140 million. This agreement was reached on Tuesday, while quarterback Lamar Jackson continues to negotiate his own contract with the team.

Jackson, who has two years remaining on his current contract, faces a significant cap hit exceeding $84 million next season. Despite the ongoing discussions regarding his contract, Flowers expressed his hope for Jackson to stay with the team for many years.

During a press conference, Flowers stated his wish for Jackson to be his quarterback throughout his career, emphasizing his belief in Jackson's exceptional abilities. Meanwhile, Jackson has refrained from commenting on contract negotiations as training camp begins, leaving the status of his deal uncertain.
