Zoey Serrano Reflects on Simultaneous WWE and TNA Contract Offers
Zoey Serrano, a former WWE star, shared insights about a pivotal moment in her career when she received contract offers from both WWE and TNA Wrestling simultaneously.
Serrano ultimately chose to sign with WWE in January 2021, although she acknowledged that her time in TNA was crucial for gaining visibility with WWE. While wrestling under the name Lacey Ryan, she had positive experiences in TNA, which she believes helped her secure the WWE contract.
Before joining WWE, Serrano competed in TNA from late 2019 to 2020, where she made notable appearances, including a title challenge against Jordynne Grace. After her WWE tryout, she adopted the ring name Zoey Stark and won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. She later transitioned to the main roster in 2023, engaging in storylines with Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch. However, a knee injury in May 2025 led to her release in April 2026. Following a period of recovery, she made her return to the ring at RevPro’s Women’s Grand Prix last month.
