Zwift Introduces New Fastest Disc Wheelsets in Latest Update
Zwift's latest update, known as the 'Kona Drop', introduced the largest release of time trial frames on the platform, along with three new disc wheelsets and updates to two existing ones.
The new disc wheels are reported to be the fastest ever on Zwift, with the double-disc Reserve Infinity Disc achieving a flat time gap of 72.1 seconds over an hour of riding, outperforming previous top wheelsets by a notable margin.
Additionally, the Shimano DURA-ACE C99/Disc wheelset was lightened to align with manufacturer specifications, making it the best climbing disc wheelset in the game. The Cadex 4-Spoke/Disc follows closely, showcasing strong performance on both climbs and flat terrains. This update is expected to attract more road racers to disc wheels due to their improved speed and lighter weight.
