Zxavian Harris to Transfer to LSU for 2026 Season

Zxavian Harris, a former defensive tackle from Ole Miss, is anticipated to transfer to LSU for the 2026 college football season after spending three months with the New Orleans Saints this offseason.

The 22-year-old is among several players returning to the NCAA after signing undrafted NFL contracts this year, a situation prompted by a federal court ruling and temporary restraining orders. Other players making similar moves include Dae’Quan Wright, Jack Pyburn, Anthony Hankerson, TJ Harden, and Wydett Williams.

Harris had a solid career at Ole Miss, recording eight tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in 2023 and 2024, and improving to nine TFLs and three sacks in 2025. Standing at 6-foot-8 and weighing 330 pounds, he possesses the size ideal for a nose tackle, although he has faced challenges with pad level and finishing plays. His college return may also address character concerns stemming from two arrests and a foot injury that hindered his performance at the 2026 Combine. The NFL's stance on his potential re-entry into the draft remains unclear.
